Zombie Friends

"Zombie friends" are the kind of people who drift in and out of your life, never truly sticking around. They might disappear for long stretches, leaving you wondering where they went, only to resurface when they need something—be it attention, support, or just a familiar face. They don’t make the effort to nurture the relationship when times are good, yet expect you to drop everything when they return. These friendships are draining, as they tend to only show up when it’s convenient for them, leaving you to feel like a placeholder in their life. Just like a zombie, they pop back in without warning, but with little regard for how much they’ve been gone or how much they ask of you when they return.
